    Description

For sale in a large Northwest Coast cedar carving of Watchman on the top: just less than one half is carved and the rest is stenciled.
In NWC Haida mythology watchman are guardian figures who are responsible for protecting their owner or an entire village.  They often grace the top of totem poles wearing conical hats in groups of two or three.
This large cedar plank has three carved watchmen with a face below however just over half is uncarved and stenciled.  So this is a piece for someone who wants to try their hand at wood carving cedar in a Northwest Coast design.
    Measurements:  32"L X4" W X 3" D and in very good condition.
