    Description

Native Indigenous 4 foot 8 inch Totem with Deep Hand Cut Totems -  carved  on two  sides . and  4 sides  at  base .
**** Base Plate Will Be Detached to Ship ****
Sunny day  in Western Washington is  a real  blessing , and today availed  itself   , to enhance  my  difficulties  in  photography
Amazing piece of history, in very good condition [ has signs of age ] wood base plate  nails  are  losing  their  grip , I am  somewhat  of  a purist , and  have made  no  modifications  to  this  totem other  than applying  citrus oil to  moisten  the wood , has been displayed  in our  front  room  for  20 +  years .
I have  found  no  discernable defining  evidence of the maker of  this  Totem, or verifiable  provenance  regarding  this  beautiful grand  Totem Pole .
Early anthropologists and ethnologists like James George Frazer, Alfred Cort Haddon, John Ferguson McLennan and W. H. R. Rivers identified totemism as a shared practice across indigenous groups in unconnected parts of the world, typically reflecting a stage of human development
