Up for bids is an estate fresh grey soapstone carving by noted Inuit sculptor Isa Aupalukta, an important carver from Inukjuak (f/ka/a Port Harrison).
The piece measures 4 1/2 x 4 1/4 x 4 inches. Weighs about 4 pounds, 8 ounces.  It is signed on the base as pictured, including the Disc Number E 9-1345.  Has some scattered tiny scuffs and nicks concomitant with its age, but no big chips or any cracks.
