Kupapik Ningeocheak - Inuit Sculpture -Birdman- 1999 - Sanikiluaq, Nunavut

This is a wonderful Inuit Sculpture by the well known and highly respected  Sanikiluaq, Nunavut carver, Kupapik Ningeocheak.
Mr. Ningeocheak most likely needs no introduction, but if you are unfamiliar with his work, a quick internet search will show what
extraordinary work he did.
This beautiful carving is called  "Birdman" and was done in 1999 (Igloo Tag accompanies the sale, but a mistake is on it where they state 1900).  This carving is extremely well done and shows the talent of the artist.
The stone is wonderfully polished and has some deep indentations near the tail of the "Birdman".  The carving nearly 7 pounds.  Signed on the feet and Igloo stamp is also there.  An Igloo tag will be included.  Unfortunately there are two very tiny scratches near the front of the piece seen in picture 6.  Picture 5 shows an area where there is a slight change in color of the stone and is not a chip.  The end of the tail is slightly rough.
This carving is approximately 9.75"H X 9.0"L X 2.0"W.
Shipping will be estimated with the shipping calculator, but will be let known when the auction is over to include insurance and shipping.  Paypal accepted.
